Academics

LCS AcademicsThe academic program at Liberty Christian School is second-to-none. We use the Abeka curriculum all the way through our grade school and high school, with the exception of Saxon math. We teach reading by phonics to our lower-elementary and see extremely high scores in reading testings.

Liberty Christian School offers three primary courses of instruction to meet the academic needs of our students:

  • An academic diploma is awarded to those students who successfully completed the most rigorous classes offered at LCS. This would include 4 years each of English, Science, and Mathematics (including Advanced Mathematics); 3 years each of Social Studies and Foreign Language, as well as various other classes. Primarily, this course of study is for those students who plan to attend a 4-year college or university.
  • A general diploma is offered to those students who, although not intellectually able to attain an academic diploma, successfully completed basic requirements for graduation at LCS. This course of study is for those students who plan to attend a technical school or a 4-year college which has a more open-enrollment policy.
  • A provisional diploma is offered to certain students with learning disabilities/disorders who have been placed on an individualized education plan. This course of study, by its very nature, is limited to a select few students whose disabilities preclude them from successfully completing the requirements for an academic or general diploma.
